Olympic Holiday Zigos
While staying at our guest houses in Igoumenitsa, Grekochori or Mesovouni, we are able to offer you the following itinerary:
DAY 1st: Upon your arrival you will be shown to your rooms or apartments and offered refreshments. We will introduce you to the town suburbs also a walk in the market for your shopping and types of popular art of our area you may wish to have a relaxing day looking around the market.
DAY 2nd: You can rest on the beautiful beaches of Plataria, Drepano and Makrigiali. Here you will find water sports, relaxation and sea fishing.
DAY 3rd: Sivota-Perdika - Arilla. You will enjoy the best beaches of the Ionian Sea. We can organise a bus for you or you can rent motorcycles to go and explore the crystal clear waters and magical landscape .
DAY 4th: Excursion early in morning for the heroic Souli, the sources of Aheronta, the ancient Nekromantio. Afterwards our minibus will take you to visit the beautiful and popular village of Parga.
DAY 5th: Either visit cosmopolitan Corfu or tranquil Paxos Island by ferry boat.
DAY 6th: Excursion to the Monasteries Giromerion and Ragion, visit the folklore museum in Finiki via Filiates and the fishing village Sagiada in order to try delicious seafoods. On your return visit the Dam of river Kalama with the deep blue waters that are suitable for canoeing and kayaking.
DAY 7th: Early in morning we depart for Ioannina, visit the lake and the ancient theatre of Dodoni, the gorge of Vikos, the cavern with the stalactites in Perama, and the museum of Vrelli with the wax effigies.
You can spend your evening in our lovely café/ bar with outside area enjoying drinks and local foods and specialities or you can use our BBQ. We also have a children’s play area. Each morning we will serve you breakfast, in the bar area or to your room, of local delicacies such as pancakes with honey.
There are also many bars, night clubs and restaurants close to us and often local celebrities play concerts. If you want mountaineering or horse riding we propose going to the village of Mesovouni where you will find a privately-owned ranch with ecological olive grove, and altitude 600m. with cool climate, 16km. from the city of Igoumenitsa.
Other local attractions include a visit to the excavations of Goumani and to go up as the Tower of Lygia or you go to explore the castle in the little forest behind Igoumenitsa and the cavern of Grava's, all unexploited and in their natural habitat.
